Note: Virtual Guitarist, Virtual Drummer, or Beatmaker AU plug-ins only compatible with Logic 10 and newer, due to AUv2 plug-in format.
If the UJAM Instruments Plug-in doesn't show up in you plug-in manager list, you have to force Logic to rescan the plug-in folder.
Note: This triggers Logic to do a rescan of ALL of your plug-ins installed - you might want to brew yourself a cup of coffee ;-)
How do I clear my Audio Unit (AU) cache in order to do the rescan?
- In Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder from the menu
- Type ~/Library/Caches in the "Go to the folder" field
- Press Go
- Remove the "com.apple.audiounits.cache" file.
- Remove the content of the "AudioUnitCache" folder
- Restart your Mac!
The next time you start Logic, the installed Audio Unit (AU) plug-in will be rescanned and Logic should then restart normally. And your UJAM Instruments plug-in should be scanned successfully - Yay!
